We Believe

These are the beliefs and truths that we adhere to:

About God

We believe that there is one God, Who is the Creator of the universe and all within it – visible and invisible. Through God every creature receives life.

About Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, born by Mary who was a virgin. He is the Word made flesh. We believe that He died on the Cross, and was resurrected by the power of God, a sacrifice that brought redemption to mankind. He is the Saviour, and came to reconcile us to God after we had been separated by our sins. In order to be reconciled with God, it is necessary to repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and we will receive the Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will return to Earth as He promised.

About the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the third Person in the Trinity. He has the same power, and the same glory with God the Father and God the Son. Jesus promised that God the Father would send the Holy Spirit to help us, advocate for us, intercede, counsel, strengthen, and comfort us, and He will be with us forever.

About the Trinity

We believe that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are one God, made of three persons – hence they are one in Trinity.

About the Bible

We believe that the Bible is the written and revealed Word of God. It is wisdom, authority and applicable to our everyday lives. The Word of God found in the Bible, is our guide and life manual, and there is a Word (scripture) that can shed light on every situation we face in life.

About the Devil

We believe that there is a devil, an enemy of mankind called Satan, who seeks the downfall of every person. He brought sickness, sin and death into the world, and seeks the destruction of those who exercise their faith in the Lord Jesus. Our solace is that God is our refuge from the enemy, and though the devil came in order to steal, kill and destroy, Jesus came that we may have life, and have it in abundance.

About Hell

We believe that there is a place called Heaven and a place called Hell, and our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only way to Heaven and there is no other way to salvation than through Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”. Such a statement may seem unfair, or even offend, but it is true. Jesus is not just a way, but the way. The way to Heaven doesn’t take into account status, achievement, wealth, fame or even personal kindness. No one can come to God the Father except through Jesus the Son.

About all of the above

All of the above may seem illogical or nonsensical. This is because it is beyond the realms of logical and rational thinking, and it takes spiritual, rather than intellectual understanding. To someone who is not spiritually awakened or guided by the Holy Spirit, it makes no sense. 1 Corinthians 2:14 says ‘But the natural, unbelieving man does not accept the things, the teachings and revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness, absurd and illogical to him; and he is incapable of understanding them, because they are spiritually discerned.’

All we can say is taste and see that the LORD our God is good; and blessed, fortunate, prosperous, and favoured by God is the one who trusts in Him.
